Within the project “Regional Network for Capacity Development” (RCDN), a meeting of representatives of the association “Vodovodi Republike Srpske” and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) was held today, June 19, 2020, via a video link.

The RCDN project aims to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of water companies in the Western Balkans, contributing to better service delivery to a larger number of populations with access to drinking water and sanitation, and to meeting the EU Acquis Communautaire for the environment.

Associations of water companies and municipalities in the Western Balkans have been enabled to provide quality development capacities to waterworks and municipalities in a financially sustainable way through the RCDN project.

The topic of today’s meeting was the Operational Plan of the Association for the period June – December 2020. Following the discussion, the Plan was adopted, and some of the plans are to implement a capacity development program based on capital infrastructure investment projects in the water supply and sewerage sector, to develop promotional training material, and, in consultation with the IAWD, to provide support and assistance to the D-LeaP benchmarking center, etc.
