Representatives of the International Association of Water Companies in the Danube Basin (IAWD) were in the period 22-23. January 2020 Visit to Banja Luka to prepare for the Danube Water Forum 2020, which is the most significant event that brings together a large number of actors from the Danube basin water sector. The conference will be held from 27-29. April 2020 in Banja Luka at two locations, ie. in the building of the Government of Republika Srpska and CC Banski Dvor. The organizers of this year’s event are IAWD, Association “RS Water Supply”, Government of RS, the City of Banja Luka and “Vodovod” a.d. Banja Luka. As part of the preparations, IAWD representatives held meetings with Mr. Srdjan Amidzic, Deputy Mayor, Mr. Milan Gavric, Assistant Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, and Mr. Mladen Matovic, Director of CC Banski Dvor. Representatives of the IAWD and the Association of Water Supplies of the Republic of Srpska held a joint meeting at which a review of the results so far was made and the next steps agreed with a view to realizing the aforementioned Conference.

Also, a working meeting of the Association of Water Supplies of Republika Srpska was held, detailing the work plan of the Association for 2020, a special analysis of the RCDN Project related to capacity building of the Association, as well as a plan of preparations for holding the 20th Conference on Jahorini in May this year.
