Within the project “Regional Network for Capacity Development in the Field of Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment (RCDN)”, a workshop on the development of a joint advocacy strategy in the field of water supply in the Republic of Srpska was held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

The overall goal of the workshop was to create a common approach to advocacy activities in the water sector in the RS. During the workshop, specific objectives were defined, which include clarifying the expected outcome for topics of common interest, identifying key stakeholders, identifying key arguments for the position, and defining methods/approaches for each topic. After discussions, it was concluded that cooperation with other experts and institutions is essential for planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating successful lobbying and advocacy campaign.
Participants in today’s workshop were representatives of GIZ, IAWD, NALAS, Aquasan Network in BiH, and representatives of the association “Waterworks of Republika Srpska” and the Association of Municipalities and Cities of Republika Srpska (ALVRS).
